"Where the horizon meets the home. A study in organic materials, natural light, and the Pacific."
Perched on a cliffside in Malibu, the Coastal Minimalist project is an exercise in restraint. The design objective was to create a seamless transition between the rugged coastline and the interior living spaces. We utilized bleached oak, limestone floors, and raw linen to echo the textures of the beach, allowing the architecture to act as a frame for the ever-changing Pacific horizon.
